Yes, you guessed it - this is not the first time I've done it either!
This particular book was published by the Embroiderers' Guild (Jane Greenoff, Brenda Keyes and Jo Verso) and is a lovely book that covers a range of areas on sampler history and symbolism as well as some hints on designing and stitching your own samplers.
The book also has sections on crazy patchwork, wessex embroidery, and map samplers.
So, one of my lucky friends will get a parcel in the mail this week or next...I already know where it is going.... :)

Don't know too much about this but I do know my mother was very involved in the Embroiderer's Guild here in Brissy many years ago.
I think I had better stick to wine!!
